These somewhat eccentric tribal style rugs are woven by a Pashtun speaking people from Northern     Afghanistan, the Baghlani. Their construction on a wool foundation gives them a flexible handle and a degree of eccentricity and unpredictability reminiscent of all true tribal rugs. We do not provide designs, rather the Baghlani people weave their own indigenous designs. Baghlani carpets are woven using only saturated primary colors. The wool and vegetable dyestuffs are the same as the Aryana line. The Baghlani is one of our smaller lines with a limited production.
