Machik Tibetan Weaving Project Tibetan 150 Knot
|
| Tibetan 60 Knot |
Our newest Tibetan carpet line is the 150 knot line. As the name would imply, these are in this line are made from both wool and silk, with silk being used for some of the design elements in the rug to create a variation on texture and luminescence. As with the 100 knot line, the wool is all hand carded and hand spun pure Tibetan wool and the dyes used are all vegetable dyes. The inspiration for the designs woven in this line is a mix of the traditional and the contemporary. Being quite finely woven these carpets are relatively thin for Tibetan rugs, which enhances the crispness and clarity of the designs.
