This line takes its name from the mountainous central province of Afghanistan.The rugs are woven by Turkmen Weavers in northern Afghanistan. This highly decorative line is finely woven and is Persian knotted with around 170 knots per sq. inch. The designs used for the rugs in this line include 19th century Persian decorative rug designs, such as Sultanabad and Mahal designs, as well as a mix of contemporary and transitionally contemporary designs.
