We produce this line of rugs in and around the small market town of Aqcha in Jowzjan province in northern Afghanistan. Aqcha has a diverse population of Turkmen, Uzbeks, Pashtuns and others. Our weavers are mainly Turkmen and Uzbek. This line of rugs is an eclectic mix of mainly traditional designs from all over the rug weaving world. They are medium fine weave and in this line we use mainly vibrant saturated colors and focus on the types of designs that express these colors to their best advantage.
